Accessibility Statement

Our mission is reaching people the world overlooks. It would be a strange website that did the opposite. We want every visitor — including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or reduced motion — to be able to read these stories, learn about the work, and give.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. The site is a fast, static website with no required JavaScript, which removes many barriers by design.

What the site does

  • Semantic HTML with one main heading per page and a logical heading order, so screen readers can navigate by structure.
  • A “skip to main content” link and full keyboard operability, with a visible gold focus outline on every interactive element.
  • Text and background colors chosen for strong contrast against our palette.
  • Respect for your prefers-reduced-motion setting — decorative animations (like the homepage sunrise) switch off automatically.
  • Alternative text on meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Responsive layout that reflows cleanly at high zoom levels and on small screens.
  • Forms with proper labels, and links whose text says where they go.

Known limitations

Donations and event registration happen on third-party platforms (GB Gateway, PayPal, Church Center) whose accessibility we do not control. If one of those services blocks you from giving, contact us and we will complete your gift another way.

Tell us what we missed

Accessibility is never finished. If you hit a barrier anywhere on this site — a control you cannot reach, text you cannot read, an image without a description — please tell us through the contact pageor by mail at Impact Ministries International, PO Box 102, Lonsdale, MN 55046. Tell us the page and what went wrong, and we will fix it as quickly as we can.
