Ever is the second child of a very poor family. In his home village, every grade shared a single school with one teacher, and that teacher was often too sick to come to class. For a boy with big academic goals, school kept getting further away instead of closer.

Life looks different now. At the City of Refuge, Ever attends class every day, eats well, and has a soccer field right outside his door. Soccer is his favorite way to spend an afternoon.

Ever’s dream is specific and serious: he wants to earn a bachelor’s degree in Administration. He is exactly the kind of student the City of Refuge school was built for, and sponsorship gives him the stability to keep climbing toward that degree.
